Staff Selection Commission is a Government of India organization that recruits staff in various ministries and Central Government Departments and their subordinate offices.

SSC CGL EXAM DATE: Details are given below

The Staff Selection Commission annually conducts a national level examination for the Graduates for recruitment to Group B and Group C posts in government departments. The various posts starting from Group C with Pay Level (PB Starts at Rs. 25,500 to 81,100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2400) up to Group B with Pay Level 8 (PB starts at Rs. 47,600 to 1,51,100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4800).

The examination is conducted for the following posts: Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) and Assistant Accounts in Indian Audit & Accounts Department under CAG Office, Assistant Section Officer in Central Secretaria Services, Intelligence Bureau (IB), Ministry of Railways, Ministry of External Affairs, Armed Forces Head Quarters, Income Tax Inspector in CBDT, Central Excise Inspectors.

Sub Inspectors in CBI, Sub Inspector in the Enforcement Directorate, Department of Revenue, Central Bureau of Narcotics, JunioStatistical Officer in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation of StatisticalInvestigator Grade-II.

Registrar General of India Auditor Offices under C and AGAccountant and Junior Accountant in other ministries Senior Secretaria Assistant, Upper Division Clerk in Central Government offices/ministries other than CSCS Cadre Tax Assistant in CBDT and CBIC.

SSC COMBINED GRADUATE LEVEL EXAMINATION, SSC CGL EXAM 2020-21: The exact number and types of vacancies for SSC CGL Exam 2020-21 will only become known when the notification for it will be published on December 21.

The application process for the Staff Service Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL) Tier 1 Exam 2020 will commence from December 21, 2020, and the last date to apply for the exam is January 25, 2021. Tier 1 exam for SSC CGL 2020 has been scheduled from May 29, 2021, to June 7, 2021. It has noticed that every year, more than 30 lakh applicants apply for the SSC CGL Exam and about 15 lakh candidates take the Exam.

Eligibility Criteria for the SSC COMBINED GRADUATE LEVEL EXAMINATION, SSC CGL EXAM 2020-21: Educational Qualification As the name of the examination suggests, the candidates applying for the SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute or University.

Age limit (As on 01-01-2021):

The Requirement of age for various posts in SSC CGL is as follows:
No Age Limit Remarks
(i) The posts for which age limit is
18-27 years:
The candidate must have been born not
earlier than 02-01-1994 and not
later than 01-01-2003.

(ii) The posts for which age limit is
20-27 years:
The candidate must have been born not
earlier than 02-01-1994 and not
later than 01-01-2001.

(iii) The posts for which age limit is
20-30 years:
The candidate must have been born not
earlier than 02-01-1991 and not
later than 01-01-2001.

(iv) The posts for which age limit is
up to 30 years:
The candidate must have been born not
earlier than 02-01-1991 and not
later than 01-01-2003.

(v) The post for which age limit is
up to 32 years:
The candidate must have been born not
earlier than 02-01-1989 and not
later than 01-01-2003.

However,
1. Those who are applying for the Assistant
Audit Officer
or Assistant Accounts Officer
jobs may get priority if they have
completed any one of the following
courses:
2. Chartered Accountancy,
3. Cost & Management Accounting,
4. Company Secretary,
5. Masters in Commerce. 5(A). Masters in Business Studies,
6. Masters in Business.
Administration (Finance), or
7. Masters in Business
Economics.
** Those interested in applying
for the Junior Statistical
Officer
job must have at least
60% marks in Mathematics
in Class 12 or must have
Statistics as one of the
subjects at graduation level.
** Candidates for the Statistical
Investigator Grade-II
jobs
must also have Statistics as
one of the subjects at the
graduation level.
Students in the final year of
their graduation can also apply
for SSC CGL 2020 exams. But
they must be able to show their
qualifying documents on or
before August 1, 2021.

Age Limit: SSC COMBINED GRADUATE LEVEL EXAMINATION, SSC CGL EXAM 2020-21:
The age of the candidate must be between 18 and 32 years. In some jobs, the maximum age may be restricted to 27 years or 30 years.

SC/ST candidates are allowed a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit, OBC candidates get relaxation for 3 years, PWD (Persons with Disabilities) from the General category are allowed a relaxation of 10 years.

OBC & PWD candidates will get a relaxation of 13 years and SC/ST PWD
candidates get a relaxation of 15 years.

For Group C posts, central government employees who have served in civilian posts for three years continuously can apply up to 40 years of age. SC/ST candidates among them can apply for up to 45 years of
age. Widows, divorced women, or judicially separated women who have not remarried can apply for these jobs until 35 years of age. SC/ST women among them can apply for up to 40 years of age.
