SBI PO Final Selection Process 2022
Important Points you need to remember:
- The specific authorities will not consider the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination for preparing the final merit list.
- Only the marks obtained in the Mains Examination (both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test) and in Group Exercise and Interview will be considered for preparing the final merit list.
- But, candidates will have to qualify in both the Prelim and Main exams separately.
- The marks obtained in the Mains Examination (out of 200 marks) will carry 75% weightage and the marks in the Group Exercise & Interview (out of 50 marks) will carry 25% weightage. The aggregate marks (out of 100) will be considered to compile the final merit list.
- The final selection will be made, only from the top merit-ranked candidates in each specific category.
- SBI PO Result of the candidates who qualify for Main Examination and Group Exercise & Interview as well as the final selection list will be made available on the official website.

Is SBI PO Exam hard?
According to Last year’s exam, the SBI PO exam was found to be moderate to difficult. Data Interpretation and Reasoning sections were very difficult whereas, the English and General Awareness sections were easy to moderate.
Is there a negative marking in the SBI PO exam?
Yes, there is a provision of negative marking. For every incorrect answer, 1/4th of the marks allocated for that question will be deducted from the total score. No marks will be deducted for the answers that are unanswered.
What is the salary of SBI PO during the probation period?
The starting SBI PO salary is Rs. 27,620/- (basic pay) which is followed by four increments.
